Brisbane’s Most Instagrammable Eateries

If you didn’t gram’ it, did it even happen?! Whether you’re the kind of person who feeds their camera before themselves (you’re in good company!), or simply appreciate visually striking design and architecture, you’ll want to add these undoubtedly ‘Insta-worthy’ places to your list!

Rose Room | Fortitude Valley

From the team behind the Dirty Sultan, comes the equally instagrammable Rose Room. A Turkish café, doubling as a function space in the evenings, the Rose Room is an all-pink paradise which opened at the tail-end of 2020. Once you’re finished snapping pics of the café, order the Baklava Berry Pancake Stack or Turkish Delight Smoothie Bowl, washed down with the Rose Room Signature Thick shake, and prepare for your camera roll to be filled.

Donna Chang | Brisbane City

Donna Chang isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a destination in its own right. Located in what was once the Queensland Government Savings Bank circa 1914, Donna Chang, with its two-storey high ornate ceilings, wood-panelled walls, exquisite chandeliers, pale parquetry flooring, marble tables and padded chairs, is sure to impress… and leave your camera roll full.

Hellenika at The Calile | Fortitude Valley

The Calile Hotel is arguably one of the most photogenic hotels in the whole country, so it’s little wonder its signature Greek restaurant Hellenika is equally stunning. Overlooking the property’s pool, complete with pastel green and white umbrellas and palm trees galore, Hellenika is a feast for the eyes.

Naga Thai | Brisbane City

A bright new addition to Eagle Street Pier, Naga Thai is the perfect place to head when your craving delicious Thai food and wanting to spice up your Instagram with some colour. Designed by renowned interior designer Anna Spiro, Naga Thai fit-out was inspired by the tropical fruits and vibrant produce found in Thai markets – hence the pops of colour you’ll find everywhere, from the bookcase filled with Thai cookbooks and Lonely Planet travel guides and the glowing lanterns which adorn the ceiling.

Superthing | West End

A gorgeous pastel-hued croissanterie, bakery and cafe in West End, Superthing is a must-visit, for its fresh, flaky French croissants and its pretty pink interior. Featuring an entirely pastel pink ceiling, an abundance of plush pink booths, polished granite and a ‘rolling room’, where you can be mesmerised by the rolling of croissant dough, there is plenty of opportunities for Insta-worthy moments here.

Death & Taxes | Brisbane City

Tucked away down Burnett Lane, behind large double wooden doors, you’ll find Death & Taxes, one of Brisbane’s best kept secrets. Inspired by the underground bars of London and Paris, Death & Taxes is a moody, intimate whiskey and cocktail bar which features 100-year-old wooden floors, a back room complete with sumptuous booths, and a grand black bar displaying over 1000 spirit bottles.

ZA ZA TA Bar & Kitchen | Fortitude Valley

If Za Za Ta’s new 100% vegetarian, Middle Eastern-inspired menu is not enough of a reason to book a table, the restaurant’s stunning fit-out should do the trick. Designed by award-winning interior designer, Luchetti Krelle, and inspired by the conservatories of the Victorian era, Za Za Ta oozes eclectic character and personality.

Wet Deck - W Brisbane | Brisbane City

Ride the elevator to level 4 of the luxurious W Hotel and you’ll find a tropical poolside oasis in the heart of Brisbane. Boasting a resort vibe that makes it impossible not to feel immediately relaxed, Wet Deck is colourful and quirky, much like the rest of the property, and offers photo-worthy vistas.

Ping Pong | Newstead

Ping Pong is an Instagrammer’s paradise, with its striking all-pink décor and quirky and interesting design details everywhere you cast your eye - the countless multi-coloured globe lights, reminiscent of ping pong balls which float above the entire venue makes for a stunning picture. Another photo-opt can be found at the back of the restaurant, where an out-of-sight, all-green Thai-jungle-inspired room lies.
