December Foodie Events in Brisbane

It’s the month where Christmas lights, jingles and presents come to life. To go with it is the many food festivities that happen, so here are some of the Foodie Events happening all around Brisbane in December, leading up to Christmas.

1) Food Truck Christmas Market Fest

Happening: 1st December (Sun) - 11 am till 3 pm

At: Ferny Grove Bowls, Sports and Community Centre

Description: Catch up with your family & friends at your neighbourhood picnic as you tuck into delicious food by Brisbane’s best food trucks brought to you by The World Food Markets. Need some entertainment for the kids as well? A Santa Jumping Castle, Face Painting, Live Music, Free Barefoot Bowls, Volleyball Yard, Games, Prizes and Raffles Festive Specials will definitely keep the kids and you very busy. BYO Picnic blankets and they will provide the rest on this wonderful Queensland summer weekend!

Pricing: All depends on what you’re craving for that day.

2) Christmas Buffet Lunches

Happening: 25th of December (Wednesday) - 11 am

At: Sunnybank Hotel, Brunswick Hotel, Wyunnum Tavern, Mount Gravatt Hotel, Holland Park Hotel and all-around Brisbane

Description: Happening all around Brisbane on the 25th of December. Grab your friends and family to a nice afternoon lunch with all things Christmasy. Sit back, relax, and leave the cooking to them this Christmas Day. ONLY wanting Christmas cheers to a delicious buffet lunch. Christmas is stressful enough without the hassle of entertaining; so dust off your Santa hat and let them bring you the best present of all - no cooking or cleaning.

Pricing: Early bird discount of 10% by 1st December 2019.

3) Weekend of Tartness 2019

Happening: 7th & 8th of December (Fri & Sat)

At: The Scratch (8/1 Park Road, Milton)

Description: Where one celebrates with ales, porters, stouts and other tipples. If it is tart and tangy, it is likely to be on the menu. Over the two days, more than 20 of the funkiest, sourest, most refreshing beers being produced in Australia and around the world will take over the taps of the Milton hangout. Drinking is only part of the fun, with tasty food and a pumping soundtrack adding to the atmosphere.

4) Boho Luxe Market

Happening: 6th til 8th of December (Fri - Sun)

At: The Old Museum (Corner Gregory Tce & Bowen Bridge Road, Bowen Hills)

Description: Forgoing the trappings of the city for bohemian fashion, a weekend of browsing and buying, food trucks, live music and more. There'll also be a dedicated vegan section for any vegans out there.

5) A Vegan Christmas Feast

Happening: 7th of December (Sat) - 2 pm till 4 pm

At: Australian School of Meditation and Yoga (320 Montague Rd, West End)

Description: A treat to all Vegans, ASMY is providing a variety of vegan cooking classes to introduce, inspire and whet your appetite for beautiful, whole food that will nourish your body and boost your glow. A feast for your eyes as much as your belly.
