Located in Golden Beach, Sunshine Coast, Copper Spoon Thai Restaurant and Bar is cooking up the most exotic and tantalising Thai salads, noodles, and dishes that you can’t find in any regular Thai joints amongst the many familiar classics that one would expect from a proper Thai restaurant.

We’re talking about Raw Blue Swimmer Crab Salads with Fermented Anchovy Sauce, Fish Sauce-Marinated Raw Prawns with their signature dipping sauce, Thai-Style Salmon Sashimi with a deliciously spicy-pungent dressing, super earthy Beef Noodle Soups, and so much more!

This Raw Blue Swimmer Crab Salad comprises with their homemade marinated raw crab that are tossed in a spicy pungent fermented anchovy dressing and crunchy vegetables.

The Raw Salmon Salad is definitely a must-try if you’re a sashimi fan as the spicy pungent anchovy-based dressing is goes so well with the fresh salmon pieces.

These Fish Sauce Marinated Raw Prawns are a common treat you can find all over Thailand but extremely difficult to locate here in Southeast Queensland, especially one that is made so well. So evidently, we were so glad that Copper Spoon offers them as well.

One of our personal favourite, this is a really spicy mix of marinated raw prawns and chicken roulade with the same anchovy-based dressing which can be poured over plain rice or rice noodles.

The chef-owner-operators, Nis and Amp, talked to us about the lengthy process involved in the making of their raw seafood dishes. Starting from the brewing of their homemade marinate (which is made from a base of premium fish sauce and soy sauce) to how the prawns, crabs, and salmon are prepared and cleaned thoroughly. They told us they researched a lot on the preparation of raw seafood to ensure that everything is done to the strictest manner.

We tried a couple of the raw seafood dishes and have to say we were hooked! The prawns and crab tasted so clean and fresh, and there were no fishy smell at all. As a bonus, the prices are really good value.

This is a must-go spot for any adventurous and avid Thai food lover.
